Turkey launches retaliatory strike on Syria
October 06 , 2012

Turkey and Syria are in a military showdown for the fourth day.

A Syrian bomb fired into Turkey during a military combat between the Syrian government and rebels killed 5 Turkish civilians. Turkey’s prime minister responded by warning President Bashar al-Assad’s government of his country’s readiness to war if provoked.

On Thursday, Turkey launched a retaliatory strike on Syrian targets, though there’s not yet a report of number of casualty.

Since March 15 2011, the Syrian government have been in a civil war with rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad. Russia and China have consistently vetoed every move by the UN Security Council to impose sanctions on Syria.
