Judges for the Caine Prize for African Writing 2015 were announced at the 2014 Ake Arts and Book Festival in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Chaired by award-winning South African writer Zoë Wicomb, the panel also includes radio journalist Zeinab Badawi, Assistant Professor of English at the University of Georgetown Cóilín Parsons, 2004 Caine Prize winner Brian Chikawa, and Man Booker Prize shortlistee and Indian author Neel Mukherjee.
Okwiri Oduor won last year’s prize with her story, My Father’s Head.
The judges are to meet in late April 2015 to draw up a shortlist. While the winner will be announced at a dinner at the Bodleian Library in Oxford on Monday 6 July 2015.
