Former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann who suspended her
campaign in early January has endorsed Mitt Romney, the GOP presumptive nominee.
In the debates prior to the GOP Iowa Caucus in the beginning of the year, Bachmann likened Romney to Barack Obama citing the former Governor’s health plan in Massachusetts as a similarity to Obama’s health plan.
But with many Republican bigwigs recently throwing their support behind Romney, as the GOP begin a strategy of reuniting in order to win the elections in November, Bachmann, at an event in Portsmouth, Virginia on Thursday, publicly announced her support for Romney.
Claiming Barack Obama didn’t fulfill his promises to make the economy better, Bachmann, to the applause of the crowd, said, ”I am honored to be able to be here, to introduce not only Governor Bob McDonnell, the fabulous Governor of the State of Virgina, but also to lend my voice and my endorsement to Mitt Romney as our president to take our country back”.
